I've been receiving a lot of questions about "multiple teams" per age group.
To be clear...there is no "quota", or hard and fast rule on how many teams there will be. It is 100% driven by the registration
#'s, and the talent that presents itself at tryouts. If we get numbers to support creating a "development"
team, then by all means we will look into creating one. If we get numbers, but the talent doesn't show many are
ready for travel, then we may not create one. It's a case by case basis where I will work with the coaches running the
age-group's main tryouts to determine the feasibility.
Also, what we have done in the past to create an additional team, is if the talent is there, but the
numbers are soft, we may try and combine neigboring agegroups (aka, U-9 and U-10, or U-10 and U-11), and try and form
a development team at the older agegroup.
Again, nothing is in stone, and creating "extra" teams are 100% driven by
registration numbers in that agegroup, and the talent associated with those numbers.
